The Kitchen is the heart of a home.... or office in this case

There’s something so binding about coming together and sharing a meal.

Previously, only four municipal staff could eat together in the kitchen, and the regular pot luck lunches had to be brought to the council chambers. The kitchen is designed for everyone to be able to eat together comfortably and is a spot where staff can leave the office area and relax without disturbance, leading to improved performance overall.

Incorporating feedback received in the community consultation sessions, the kitchen was deliberately designed to be large enough and separate from the main office area to encourage use by community groups and others. A great use of a large space!
